How you can get your dream job this year!

With the recent economic surge in a lot of countries, the job market is flooded with a lot of job seekers. Graduates without any job. But statistics show there is an imbalance ratio between the number of jobs available and the job seekers.

Many employers and interviewers tend to employ or hire the person that stands out specifically from the other applicants.

So, how do you make an impression to the interviewer and convince him to forego other equally qualified applicants and give you the job instead? Especially when it's your dream job?

1. Be Open

Eliminate any negative mindset you might have gotten from previous interviews that didn't turn out in your favour. Grab every opportunity to reach your objective. Treat every job interview like it's the first. Impress the interviewer and convince him that if hired, you'll be an asset to the company.

Also, the last professional post you occupied shouldn't inhibit or limit the posts you submit applications for. An accountant can apply for the post of a business manager. An English graduated can become a journalist.

2. Be Honest/Genuine

All the information in your curriculum vitae,(CV), be  correct. Also, answer all the questions asked by interviewers honestly and genuinely.

3. Invest

If you've been unemployed for some time, chances are that you might no longer be up to date with certain innovations in your field.  Invest professionally in yourself. You can take professional courses, go for workshops, seminars and other benefitting programs. It is highly advisable to vokunteer or intern in an organisation or company. It'll improve your qualifications ,professional experience and value while waiting for your dream job.

4.) Get prepared / Research

This is in some ways, similar to the previous point. Update your résumé. Research online. Find out what big companies CEOs are looking for and if you don't have it yet, get it. Start drafting your CV. Write a draft cover letter. So, whenever you get called up for an interview, your CV will be ready.

Find out the right interview attitude. Search online for quality articles that help you in a job interview. Correct your mistakes.

5. Network.

Ask for referrals. Associate with people in your professional field. Look widely. Attend industry events. Who knows, you could get that job easier than you think.

6. Revise your goals.

This is by no means telling you to settle for less. But while waiting for that dream job, you could take a smaller job to meet your immediate financial needs. Nevertheless, keep your hunger and passion for your dream job and in the way you go about looking for it.

7. Lastly but not the least, to crown all these efforts, pray to GOD and He'll definitely Help you get that rewarding, fulfilling job that makes you feel accomplished but still with plenty of quality time to spend with your loved ones.

Please share this post. Your suggestions are also very welcome.
