 As we all know, Bill gates is the founder of the leading computer company, Microsoft and also is widely known as the richest man in the world. 

 Judging from his huge success in business, his opinions and advice are regarded very highly. He shares to us some business secrets given to him by his mentor, Warren Buffet, founder of Beckshire Hathaway.


 At the annual Beckshire Hathaway shareholder meeting, Warren gave away 3 important points to note in business. The first one is

 KNOW IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT INVESTING.

 According to Warren, every company has a"moat" - a competitive advantage and if you want to invest in a company, you should look at it. See the future profit stream, envision how much this company will make in the future.

 A lot of investors make the mistake of just looking at the current share price the company is offering. Big mistake. 

 An investor has to act like he's the owner of the whole company. Do an overview of the competitive advantage, ask yourself, is it growing or falling?, don't just look at the volume of the change of the shares over the company's past errors. Look at their track record, what they are likely to do right and wrong in the future.

 Another major point - Ignore the market. Statistics and research shows investors who don't necessarily consider the current state of the market get very good returns from their investments. 


 TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR PLATFORM

 Maximize your platform. Communicate regularly with your clientele. Use your platform to convince, influence even force them to patronized you more.

 In the gates foundation, Bill gates annually writes all his shareholders. This will give them a feeling of importance and cause them to invest more.


 RECOGNIZED YOUR TIME IS VALUABLE

 Warren Buffet said, "no matter how much money you make, or who you are, we all have 24 hours a day". 

 So, what should you do with yours? Use it judiciously. Don't waste time on unnecessary meetings and activities. 

 Dr Mike Murdock also outlined this as one of the secrets and behaviours of very successful people. They know time is precious and they don't waste theirs on frivolous activities.

 Every meeting, event, even social gatherings should have a purpose. But do not neglect family gatherings. Lesson to learn, Plan your time well.

I couldn't agree more. Studies and research have shown that people with less experience, those who regularly change careers have higher tendencies to succeed more than people who remain one place.

This is because they acquire more knowledge and can rebounds no matter the situation. Shane calls this Lateral thinking. So, forget about paying your dues. You don't have to suffer being the underdog for too long. Go ahead and chase your dreams and don't allow anyone else tell you the contrary.

3. Dream BIG!

To succeed faster than  others, remove barriers. Dream big.no.bigger! Remount and soar very high. When you dream big, you open your mind to innovative ideas. You also will attract the right people to you, the capital you need and coverage.

As one wise man said,  it's better to leave something 10 times better than you met it other than 10% better.. Be audacious in your dreams. Refuse to see the box. In so doing, you unconsciously push yourself to get creative, alternative and uncommon solutions to problems.

Have heavyweight aspirations! A man that wants to goo to New York is different from a man that wants to go to the moon and they will definitely attract different people. A man with big dreams will automatically attract world class people and even coverage like Astro Teller, the head of Google x.

This helps in making you make the same mistake that you saw someone else make . It will help speeden your point of destination, ice, when you become successful.



 5. Sometimes, It's wiser To Follow than lead







There is a new business venture that everyone is jumping into and you're biting yourself , asking why you've not also started.

It may seem unlikely but Sometimes, you would be the wiser for it. Research has shown that people who wait a little, survey,study, strategize better before getting into a business investment, get better returns and results.

Waiting also helps you to learn from other people's mistakes and emulate those who did well.Always tell yourself, "I am not late I'm just right on time".Note: Don't wait for too long either!

Hollywood producer, Robert Rodriguez made a 90mins film, El Mariachi with only 7,000dollars ! The film got a lot of positive critique without anybody noticing how cheap it was made..

The lesson here is sometimes, limitations can encourage creativity which in turn, when applied will turn you into a huge success. Robert Rodriguez had to use a wheelchair for his camera instead of a dolly.See creativity?!
